VOTE GREEN on NOV. 8TH!

Sample ballot with Green candidates marked.

How to vote for the green party

Your ballot should be marked as shown.

The Green Party is the last line above the write-ins.

And speaking of write-ins, please write in ours! Mark the write-in box for Governor and Lieutenant Governor, then write "Bicking & Martineau" or "MLB + CAM" within in the box. The names or initials must remain within the box to be counted!

(Yes, the ballot design isn't good, but that's beyond our control.)

Thank you for voting Green!

CT State Green Party site

In the 2021 election, our modest little town is responsible for 6 Green wins in out of 17 in the entire USA! That's incredible. (A few more were elsewhere in CT.) We in Windham are special. Let's keep it that way!

Michael Westerfield - Board of Assessment Appeals

I am on the Assessment Board of Appeals primarily because I believe that citizens must always be able to appeal any adverse action taken against them by public officials or agencies. Too often do folks feel powerless in the face of “official” decisions. Town boards of appeal, staffed by elected local residents, play a vital role in ensuring fair treatment of residents by town government.

Positions

Here are some positions adopted by the Windham Green Town Committee:

  • 04-2022: The WGP supports the acquisition by the town government, when fiscally responsible, of open space and undeveloped parcels, for the purpose of conservation.
  • 04-2022: The WGP supports the legalization of the cultivation of cannabis in reasonable quantity for personal use by anyone without a license.
  • 04-2022: The WGP opposes the development of an apartment complex in North Windham adjacent to the Airline Trail as well as any other green or open space. The WGP supports development instead in already-developed more-urban areas where the necessary infrastructure is already in place and forests and wetlands are not destroyed.
  • 04-2022: The WGP supports a full range of services and departments at Windham Hospital.
